Analyzing Technocrat's strategy since the last two FYs, it seems that the company is on a spree to focus on the national distribution space. After
strengthening its internal process majorly in the upcountry markets with an enhanced focus on retail in the metros, Technocrat has yet again taken up national distribution of Gigabyte after the success of Adata.

Already, the company, with its vast channel base has established Epson and Xerox in the East capturing a good marketshare in the printer-scanner domain. Having branches in all major cities and towns of eastern India, Technocrat is now all set to expand its domain of distributorship further adding Gigabyte to its kitty.

Mainly concentrating on the East, the company had considerable presence in Patna and Ranchi. The company has seven branches spread across the East, apart from its base in Kolkata. It also has an IT Mall contributing to about 35 percent of its total revenue and a warehouse. Technocrat has emerged as one of the biggest players not only in the East, but across India making its debut among the top 25 players. It was also awarded the Best Sub-Distributor pan India in the recently-held Disti Summit 2010. The company has already taken a lead in the distribution of Epson and Xerox products across East and now the company is targeting to repeat its success with Adata and e-Scan.

Focusing on the upcountry market along with its own brand Bitech, Technocrat is expecting to have a growth of about 25 percent in its distributorship business this FY. Also, after foraying into anti-virus distributorship, Technocrat's primary concern is to strengthen its existing dealers and target for a 100 percent YoY growth. With a steady rise in the sales of Epson and Xerox, Adata is now contributing for about 25 percent of its distribution business and the company is keen on repeating the same percentage for Gigabyte as well. Registering an overall growth of nearly 29 percent, Technocrat is looking forward to expand its focus into consolidating its existing dealer model.
